EIGHTH GRADE

Please continue drawing at home.  Pay special attention to shading.  I want you to be able to recognize shadows and light, and be able to draw this on your paper.  It is important that you learn to recognize and use the full range of the value scale in your drawings, from black to white.  A narrow value range results in a weak drawing.  You don't want something that is all darks, or all lights, or all grays.  You want a full range of darks, including pure black,  grays, and lights, including pure white.
