I would like for my visitors to have a little glimpse of what my life is like here in Opelika, Alabama. Since I know that people from all over the world look at this site, it will be fun to share what life in America is like. My life is a life filled with peace, love and happiness. My home town is a small town, about 30,000 people. Adjacent to Opelika is Auburn, which also has about 30,000 people, not counting the students. The students at Auburn university number around 25,000. As I continue to work on this page, I will add photos to show you these things. Although we have just about any kind of store or restaurant one could want, we also have wide open spaces, with woods and farmland. The two photos on the left above were taken just down the street from my house. The one on the right is in my living room.
Delaine and I were married April 1, 1965. Yes, we were probably too young, but we did it anyway. I would not change anything. She has been my constant, loving companion for over 40 years. I have two beautiful daughters, Susan and Cynthia. Susan has 3 girls, Olivia, Madeleine, and Mara. You see me with them in the photo above, left. Cynthia has a little boy, Brantley James. you can see him above, right, as he is opening his Christmas present of a pup tent. The girl's father left them years ago, so I make sure that they get plenty of attention from their Grandaddy. They only live about 20 minutes away, so we see them nearly every day. As I write this, they are in the living room watching television with their Grandmama. Cynthia and her husband, Josh, also live only 20 minutes away from us.
Visit again soon. I am going to be adding photos regularly.
